TLCA Board of Directors approve 2019-2020 School Calendar

TLCA Students will be reporting for school August 13th, as Texas Leadership Charter Academy’s Board of Directors approved the 2019-2020 School Calendar.
In developing the calendar, students' time will be calculated in minutes, and teachers are still under a ten-month contract of 187 calendar days.
School districts and charter schools are required to operate for a minimum of 7950 minutes, including intermissions and recess, according to state mandates.
Highlights from the new calendar include: first day of instruction will be August 13; Students and Staff will have the week of Thanksgiving off November 25-29; Christmas break will be December 20 – January 6 with students returning January 7; Spring Break will remain aligned with Districts in respective cities, March 9-13; last day of class is May 22, and graduation is set for May 22.
