At Texas Leadership, we are excited about this upcoming year and are constantly working to improve systems and make sure that safety is our number one priority. 

 

Just some new things this year as we grow:

  • 2 added Bus Stops
 
We are looking forward to growing and expanding our capabilities to safely serve our students and community!

Please have your students at their designated drop-off area 5-10 minutes before departure. Please also be ready to pick them up in the afternoon at your location.

 

If your student misses their bus, YOU are responsible to or from school.

Traffic Flow Guidelines

TLCA Abilene 2023-2024

 

ELEMENTARY Traffic

NEW Traffic Flow Guidelines for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

 

NO More Walk-ups

  • Parents must stay in the vehicle during drop-off and pick-up

Drop-off Area

  • ALL STUDENTS (K-6) will be dropped off in the State Street circle drive. All vehicles must use the circle drive for drop-off. Please do not exit your vehicle. 

Pick-up Areas

  • ALL K-6 students will be picked up in the State Street circle drive. All parents must remain in the vehicle and TLCA staff members will place children in cars.

No Parking Areas

  • There will be no parking on North 8th Street from 1:00-4 pm each day (we need this area clear for Bus Student dismissal).
  • There will be no parking on the school side of State Street.

 

SECONDARY Traffic

NEW Traffic Flow Guidelines for the 2024-2025 school year are as follows:

 

Drop off:

  • Parents stay in the vehicle during drop-off and pick-up
  • Student drop-off in the mornings is at the side curb of Briarwood or in the circle drive. Do not drive through the GYM parking lot, as we have students parking and getting out. 

Pick up:

  • Parents stay in the vehicle during drop-off and pick-up
  • Students will be released out of the front or East side door.  Parents can pick up on Briarwood St, in the circle drive, or on Westview Rd.
  • A crosswalk attendant will no longer be present on Westview Rd.
  • Please make sure your student knows their pick-up plan for each day.
  • Do not drive through the GYM parking lot, as we have students leaving.
  • Afternoon bus riders will load the buses in the gated back parking lot (no longer the circle drive).
